We are particularly interested in those that highlight sustainability, budgeting, and overall health, as those are the core components of the goals we have been working toward for 35 years.

In the recent 2012 Lodging Survey, released by the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA), findings show that hotel managers and owners are becoming  increasing committed to providing guests with the best eco-friendly, technologically-advanced, and health-conscious lodging accommodations possible.

The bi-annual survey, which polled over 52,000 hotel properties, reveals the following hospitality trends for 2012:

  1. Environmentally-friendly: 75 percent of US hotels have implemented water-saving programs; 76 percent offer linen and towel reuse services
  2. Technologically-advanced: Third-party internet booking providers are used by 95 percent of hotels, and almost one fourth are utilizing mobile booking apps
  3. Health-conscious: 84 percent of properties have a fitness facility and 63 percent of hotels are 100 percent non-smoking
