Mario Insenga

The Refinishing Touch® is the definitive leader for on‐site, environmentally safe, and sustainable furniture refinishing, re-upholstering, and re-engineering in the Hospitality, University, and Government markets.

Mario Insenga, company Founder, helped invent an industry and sustainability movement even before the notion of eco-friendly businesses were a part of mainstream thinking.

With 44 years owning and operating The Refinishing Touch, Insenga has redefined how the hotel industry perceives managing existing assets.

The company’s success is due to the development of a new, environmentally safe furniture refinishing process. Furniture that might be disposed of, now has a significantly extended useful life through repurposing and refinishing… it keeps millions of tons of waste out of landfills every year.

Additionally, this process saves owners significant amounts of money. Even luxury resorts rely on The Refinishing Touch® to extend their original furniture investment and significantly reduce their requirement for new capital investments.

Insenga says “We help our clients make money by saving money… all by solving a problem owners and asset managers didn’t know they had. They save significantly while doing the right thing.”

ISO 9001 Certified, the company is a preferred vendor for major hotel companies such as Hilton Worldwide, Host Hotels and Resorts, Wyndham Hotel Group, Best Western and IHG. The Company has completed more than 7,800 hotel projects, as well as more than 300 military installations and several hundred university student housing buildings.

The Refinishing Touch® is also a cornerstone of the U.S. government’s sustainability efforts where Insenga spearheaded refinishing programs for most government agencies including the Executive Office of the President of the United States, the House of Representatives, Senate and the Department of Defense, and the branches of the military such as the Air Force. Their efforts earned them the U.S. General Services Administration “Evergreen Award” for innovative, environmentally friendly practices.
