As 2014 began, The Refinishing Touch team took the time to reflect on the past and predict what’s to come. The result was a study of the top furniture asset management trends we’ve observed from 2011 through to the end of 2013 and a forecast for the year ahead.
This month’s edition of Western Hotelier – a popular publication written primarily for hotel owners and managers – showcased our findings in print.
By looking back at our past projects in the hospitality industry and beyond, we were able to identify several positive changes, such as:
- A significant reduction in landfill waste and carbon emissions due to an increased investment in refinishing services. The Refinishing Touch has saved an estimated 9,200 trees by refinishing existing furniture in just three years
- A nearly 33% increase in large-scale refinishing projects, reflecting signs of positive growth in the hospitality industry following its recent downturn
As 2014 progresses we’re encouraged to see more and more hoteliers implementing strategies, practices and initiatives for greener establishments, as well as more cost-awareness when it comes to renovations.
